Hi everyone!
I’m Peyton, and I am so excited to welcome you to my fashion and lifestyle blog, love ‘n’ labels! On this blog, I will share with you the most current fashion trends, wardrobe styling tips, glam and beauty tricks (that I have learned throughout tons of trial & error), traveling adventures, and plenty of personal stories about love and life in the South.
However, before I get started posting about all of these fabulous things, I want to share with you how I got here and why I am pursuing love ‘n’ labels. For starters, I have to be honest and say that I have been blog stalking for about five consecutive years now (& I have totally fallen in love with a rather large handful of fashion & style bloggers). I first learned about ‘the whole blogging thing’ during my freshman year of college in one of my fashion classes and was instantly intrigued. Fast forward to my junior year of college and my boyfriend (at the time … now my hubs) – TJ – mentioned that I should look into starting my own fashion blog. (He’s a computer engineer, so needless to say, he has helped me a ton when it comes to anything technical with LNL.) I was very interested and played around with a few blogging ideas after that, but between school, being a student-athlete, then getting engaged & recently getting married, I just honestly never had the time to pursue it the way I really wanted to. If I was going to do it, I wanted it to be a success. Therefore, I waited until the timing was right and the Big Man gave me the go ahead.
So … five years, a college degree and a husband later, here I am ready to begin my own [stylish] journey in the blogging world. (YAY!) Although being patient is sometimes a difficult task, over the past few years of being a ‘blog stalker’, I have learned so much about myself and about who I want to reach out to through this platform. For years, I’ve had many of my girlfriends come to me for fashion, style, beauty, and even love advice. So, when I was thinking about who I wanted this blog to be for, I thought my ideal reader would be the everyday, fashionable, lovable woman. I aim to inspire and show all women how to get the ‘big city street style’ look anywhere in the world.
Carrie Bradshaw said it best:
Women come to New York for the two L’s: labels and love.
I love me some CB and SATC, but throughout this blog, I like to think that I am taking my own spin on her infamous quote by reaching out to everyday women, everywhere in the world and helping them feel (& look) their absolute best.
