Happy Wednesday, beautiful ladies! We’ve (almost) made it over the hump!
I got a lot of questions from y’all a few nights ago when I was doing my live Q&A on Instagram, regarding hair and makeup, so I thought I would put together a post for you guys to shop my holy grail of beauty products – or at least my favorite ones at the moment. I have so many products in my cabinets & makeup case that it would take days to go through them all, lol! So below, I’ve linked my current go-to’s. My hair and makeup routines change every so often, so I’ll keep you guys posted on any new products that I find and think that ya just can’t live without.
If you can’t tell by this post, I’m oooobsessed with Elle Woods, aka Reese Witherspoon. Any other Legally Blonde fanatics out there? Back when I was in Nashville a few weeks ago, we had a shopping trip planned to Draper James, Reese Witherspoon’s newish brand / boutique. I had never shopped there. She’s been launching new boutiques for Draper James all over .. girl is killin’ it! But of course, we wouldn’t expect anything less from our ambitious Harvard Law graduate, right? 😉
Being such a huge Legally Blonde fan (like, it’s my all-time fave movie .. well, right up there with SATC), I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to stop by Draper James while I was in town. Not to mention, I’m a sucker for beautiful walls of art, and I figured that I could also shoot some blog pics while I was there to share the experience with you all! I get asked all the time where I shop or my favorite places to shop. Well, I think I’ve definitely found one to add to my go-to list.
You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.
It’s that time of year again when we all sit down, reflect & brainstorm our goals for the upcoming year. There’s something so refreshing about a new year – a new ‘start’. However, I will say that I don’t think we have to have a new year before starting fresh. We can wake up any day and decide to shift our lives in a different direction or dream a new dream. That’s the beauty of God’s grace and faithfulness!
I actually think my resolutions always tend to evolve and refine themselves over the year as the days pass by – for many different reasons. But, I think one of the reasons is because I haven’t been specific enough in the past. So, this year, I really took the time to just sit and think about the year ahead and where / who I wanted to be at the end of 2017. Some talks with Jesus & a few cups of coffee later, here’s what I came up with for my goals & aspirations of this new year:
Happy New Year, gorgeous girls! I hope you all had a fun and safe NYE last night! Teej and I went to dinner with a few friends and then headed out downtown to watch the ball drop. It was rainy and cold here, so it may have been a better idea to just stay in for the night, lol. But, nonetheless, we made the best of it and had some fun! Today, we’ve just been relaxing and taking it easy. After church this morning, my mom whipped up this huge spread for brunch and it was ahhh-mazing! *Still waiting for my hereditary cooking skills to kick in.*
I usually don’t post on Sundays since I try to post M-F throughout the work week (but then again, I don’t think the blogging work week ever truly ends ha!). However, I wanted to share a few of my top sale picks from the Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale that ends tomorrow. A few of my favorite, go-to pieces that I wear A LOT are on major sale right now, and I didn’t want to let the deals pass you up.
Fri-nally, it’s almost the weekend girlfriends! With only 2 days left of 2016, I wanted to reflect upon the past year and share some things with you all that you may not even know about me yet. I didn’t launch LNL until later in the year, so a lot of these events, I haven’t even gotten the chance to share with y’all yet. 2016 was a BIG year for me, and there were so many things to be thankful for.
2017 is just 3 days away & nothing quite says New Years Eve like metallic sparkle. This is always one of my favorite nights of the year because you have a great excuse to go out and get all glammed up in your favorite sequins. Plus, it’s a very refreshing time of year (well, as long as you don’t drink too much bubbly that night, lol) as you get a brand new start and get to plan out where you want the new year to take you.
Since the ball will be dropping in just a couple days, I wanted to share one of my favorite ways to incorporate some edgy sparkle into your NYE look.
When it comes to wedding photography and videography, the advice I have for you is pretty simple:
1. Book before you think you should.
2. Do your research.
3. You get what you pay for.
We received over 2,200 photos from our photographers and over 5 hours of raw video footage from our whole wedding day. We also got the summarized video of our wedding day, which will never get old for me 😉
Today, I’m showing off our photographer, Katherine Birkbeck’s, work by sharing some of my favorite images from our big day + I’ll be sharing our wedding video by Milestone Pictures at the end of the post (& I may be biased, but this is something you don’t wanna miss out on! I’m a sucker for wedding vids.)
Hey there beautiful! I didn’t post yesterday so that I could have a little extra time to spend with the fam and wind down from the holiday, so I’ve missed y’all the past couple days! Did you guys have a good Christmas? Ah, I loved every second of it. It was a very busy & exciting weekend for us. Teej and I got a lot of things for the house built and put up (well, mostly Teej – I was there for moral support!), plus he finished my Cloffice – aka, my closet / office (more on Snap @peyton.baxter & InstaStories!). I have a few more pieces to buy to finish it all off, but I’m totally obsessed – hubby of the year! Did you guys get anything good or do anything super fun over the weekend? I’d love to hear all about it!
Can you even believe that we are in our last week of 2016? Now that Christmas has come and gone, it’s time to prepare for New Year’s Eve! Whether you are hosting a party, attending one, or even just going out for dinner, NYE style is something to get excited about. When I think of NYE fashion, I instantly think sparkle. Don’t you? Today, I’m introducing a new way to add some sparkle to your New Year wardrobe. Plus, I’m sharing all about my new favorite watch / cuff combo that even has Kendall Jenner obsessed!
AH! Can you believe that Christmas Eve is tomorrow?! What happened to 2016, y’all?
I’m super pumped for the weekend to begin because (surely you guys know by now) I LOVE CHRISTMAS! And so does my whole family. Like, I think I just grew up with that gene engraved in me, lol! (Thanks Mom and Dad!) In our fam, we have shared tons of (the same) Christmas traditions for years. Some of our family Christmas traditions actually started back when my Papaw (aka the sweetest man in the whole world) was a little boy. And somehow, after all those years … we’ve kept them more than alive with every year passing. If there is one thing that I truly cherish in life – it’s tradition. Specifically Christmas traditions. So, in the spirit of the holidays, I thought I’d open up and share a few of my most personal, most special holiday traditions that will always hold such a special place in my heart!
Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve! Can you tell I’m excited??
Today I wanted to share one of my final Christmas looks of the season with y’all. Do you have any fun holiday parties this Friday night? Or maybe your family and friends will be getting dressed up for Christmas Eve dinner? Either way, you can’t go wrong with this classic holiday style that basically screams Christmas.
