Snow Days At Home

Well, we finally got some snow here in Tennessee over the weekend – yay! It doesn’t happen that often here, so our mere 2-ish inches that we got was enough to get excited about. Did anyone else get any? I saw where some of my blogger sisters in other states got a little bit too – I think it is so pretty. A lot of people hate it, but there’s nothing I love more than curling up with my coffee beside the fireplace and watching it fall.

We had a ton of little kiddos in our neighborhood who were pumped to go sledding. As for Teej and I, we worked from home on Friday and managed to work in this quick photo shoot in the snow (like I said – it doesn’t happen often, so we had to take advantage of it!). I’d be lying if I said that I hadn’t been waiting for our first snowfall just so that I could wear this shirtlol. Santa brought it to me for Christmas 😉 and I just couldn’t resist! It’s only $31, so if you want one, be sure to get it today before they sell out!

And then there’s this reaction after you play in the snow without gloves on – ouuuch!

Barbie It’s Cold Outside shirt | Free People cardi | Zella leggings | Hunter boots (exact pair sold out but similar HERE & HERE) | Baublebar tassel earrings (so lightweight!) | similar pom beanie (& HERE) | lips | nails

If there’s one outfit I’d like to live in forever – this would probably be it. I’m all about getting dressed up and feeling glam and all, but somedays, it just feels so good to throw on your fave pair of leggings (which btw, THESE are the best ever. like literally.) with a cozy cardi to lounge around and watch a pretty snowfall. Add a beanie or hat of some sort so that I don’t have to completely fix my hair and then I’m really in all in, ha!

Y’ALL. This cardi from Free People is the most comfortable sweater I’ve ever put on my body. I love it because it’s lightweight enough, but also super warm at the same time (and oh so soft). I’ve literally been living in it (actually I’m wearing it right now as I type this ha). It’s so great because it’s one of those that you can dress up or down, which is always a major plus in my book. It’s definitely worth every penny of the investment for this piece! I just threw it on over my ‘Barbie, It’s Cold Outside’ shirt while I was working at home because I’m always freezing, and then when I decided to get a quick photo shoot in, I just threw on my Hunters (because I’ll find any excuse to get to wear them & they are perfect for the snow) and popped my Baublebar tassels (very lightweight) just for a fun little extra. I mean, some may think a statement earring like that is a little much for this kinda outfit, but to me, I really think of it as a very Carrie Bradshaw-esque addition to my #ootd. I mean, Carrie wore her silk PJs with a long mink fur, pearls & heeled booties. If Carrie does it, that means it’s totally acceptable, right? Maybe that’s just my philosophy, but try it out sometime – it makes your outfit stand out!

Also, quick disclaimer about my Hunter boots … I get questions all the time about where I found this exact pink color and long story short, I found them years ago – in London. I had seen them on someone and went on the search for them but they were no where to be found. My mom finally found them for me and bought them. I haven’t been able to find another exact pair like them, but I will keep searching for y’all and let you know as soon as I can find them. For now, I’ve linked a couple similar pairs above. I really love the light pink!

Did you all do anything fun over the weekend? Since it continued to snow Friday night, Teej and I had a movie night and then a day date on Saturday, which those are always fun! Sunday, I was invited to speak at The Pink Bride bridal show here in Knoxville, and I got the privilege to chat with some beautiful new brides and even some of you loyal LNL readers – ah, day made! It made me so happy when I would hear someone say something about following along with love ‘n’ labels. I love love love getting to talk to you all and getting to know my LNL sisters, so if I didn’t get to chat with you at the bridal show, shoot me a message HERE or leave me a comment below! Whether it’s a question or it’s just to say hello, I love chatting with you beautiful ladies. 🙂
