If you can’t tell by this post, I’m oooobsessed with Elle Woods, aka Reese Witherspoon. Any other Legally Blonde fanatics out there? Back when I was in Nashville a few weeks ago, we had a shopping trip planned to Draper James, Reese Witherspoon’s newish brand / boutique. I had never shopped there. She’s been launching new boutiques for Draper James all over .. girl is killin’ it! But of course, we wouldn’t expect anything less from our ambitious Harvard Law grad, Delta Nu sis, right? 😉
Being such a huge Legally Blonde fan (like, it’s my all-time fave movie .. well, right up there with SATC), I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to stop by Draper James while I was in town. Not to mention, I’m a sucker for beautiful walls of art, and I figured that I could also shoot some blog pics while I was there to share the experience with you all! I get asked all the time where I shop or my favorite places to shop. Well, I think I’ve definitely found one to add to my go-to list.

Okay, seriously – this boutique was THE cutest (& so southern, which of course, I loved). As soon as my mom and I walked in, we were offered sweet tea while we shopped (ah, so stinkin’ cute, y’all). The store smelled incredible, and everything was so spick and span. I love walking into a store that has a well thought out sales floor because it just makes shopping so much more enjoyable and way easier to navigate. I especially loved that the store included not only clothes, but also some lifestyle options as well – cookbooks, coffee table books, small home decor, etc. I always get drawn in to those kinds of things basically anywhere I go!
Plus, I don’t know if any of you all followed along with me on Snapchat (@peyton.baxter) or InstaStories that day, but I actually posted a bathroom selfie while I was there because even the restrooms were ahhh-mazing. Oversized, full-length mirrors, a candle burning & a huge, gorgeous sitting area to leave your personal items — perfection.
I wore this super chic black and white outfit while shopping around that day & popped a bit of pink with it! I’ve really been into the whole ‘pop of colors’ thing recently. You can’t ever (ever) go wrong with a classic B&W look, but I will say that I think we are going to start seeing a lot more bright colors on the runways and in our boutiques this year. NYFW is coming up in just a few months, so I’ll be anxious to see the most popular trends that we have to look forward to! I’ll be sure to keep you all as up to date as possible so that we look FAB throughout the entire year. 🙂
Hope you all are having a great week so far! What are some of your favorite places to shop? I’d love for you to share them with me so that I can go shop there too. Thanks so much for stopping by today and for sharing your fave shopping places with me!
