Rainy Day Attire

It’s a rainy Monday here in Knoxville today .. blah.

But, rainy days don’t mean that your outfit has to suffer! Is it just me or wouldn’t we all just love to curl up in our favorite leggings or sweats on a rainy day? But sometimes when I do that I tend to not be as productive as I could (& should) be, especially on a Monday. So, today I’m sharing this rain-appropriate look with y’all that will still be super comfortable, quick & easy … but it’s also fun & bright, and it makes you feel like you actually got ready for your day! Over the years, I’ve found that when you look good and put a little extra effort into getting ready for your day, you automatically feel better and get more things checked off your to do list.

black distressed jeans (current fave!!) | similar b&w striped turtleneck & here | chambray button-down (dupe here currently under $60) | Hunter boots – COLOR: Peppercorn (& cute booties here!) | Louis Vuitton wristlet (Damier print) | Rebecca Minkoff purse pom | b&w blanket scarf (under $10!) | Baublebar tassel earrings | Henri Bendel sunnies (I’ve literally been living in these!) | clear umbrella | Daniel Wellington watch | Baublebar gold chain link bracelet | David Yurman cuff (wear this everyday!) | Tory Burch cuff

It’s official y’all. I FINALLY found my hot pink Hunters that are back in stock for you guys (mine are matte, but the ones linked are glossy – color: Peppercorn)! Back story on these babies: I saw them a few years ago and completely fell in love. (If you really know me, you know pink is my signature color – I blame this on Elle Woods.) Even back then when I first saw them, I couldn’t find them for sale anywhere. My mom finally found them at a retailer in Europe (Mom’s can literally find anything, right?)! Thankfully I got my hands on a pair, but ever since then, I’ve gotten countless questions of where I got these boots and people asking where to buy them. A few weeks ago when I wore them HERE, a lot of you all kept asking where to order the pink Hunter boots, so I went on a search to finally find them for you guys – yay!! I hope you love them just as much as I do. I’ve also had my eye on the light pink ones for awhile now … I mean, everyone needs a second pair of Hunters for all the rainy days throughout the year, right?? It’s always fun to mix it up 😉

For this rainy day look, I threw on my comfiest pair of black jeans that I own because they literally feel like leggings, but they look like I actually put more effort into getting ready – gotta love outfits like that! I added a mix of prints because that’s just another way to spruce up your attire on a nasty day! I get a lot of questions about this and it can definitely be tricky, but my general rule with mixing prints is to stick to two prints (sometimes 3, depending on what kind of prints you’re mixing) – but NO MORE than three. That’s when it just gets a little too crazy, lol!

Before heading out into the wet, I quickly threw my hair up in the messiest of all messy buns & put on my favorite bold pink lip color from the drugstore, no joke (only $2! Pack of 3 HERE). Anytime that I am wearing a lot of bulky material up around my neck, I generally like to wear my hair up in someway. This messy bun is so quick, easy & comfy so let me know if you all would like to see a post on how to achieve it. It probably only takes about 1 – 2 minutes!

I hope you all had a great weekend and have a fab week. Stay dry out there today if it’s raining in your part of the world! Thanks so much for stopping by. 🙂

xo, P
