Pink + Red

Sooo, a few days ago I told y’all on INSTA that I’ve been obsessing over a certain color combo recently. Well say hello to my friends, pink red. But wait, it’s not Valentine’s Day – it’s Christmas!! What am I thinking?! I’ve started noticing that pink & red actually compliment each other so well, and they are becoming one of the most popular color combos in the fashion industry (& many other industries, for that matter).

Okay no joke, this tree was reaalllyyy heavy. I pulled it maybe 5 inches, lol!

puffer jacket | white long sleeve top (I wear this almost every week.) | express jeans (I’ve been loving these lately!) | hunter boots | beanie | similar scarf | nails | lips | starbs (of course lol)

I’m really excited about this new obsession of mine because, as you have probably noticed, I tend to wear a lot of neutrals – blacks, grays, tans, whites – those have always been my go-to colors. (Like for real, I told Teej the other day not to let me buy any more neutrals for awhile lol!) However, I really have been pleased with incorporating more reds, pinks (bold colors in general) into my wardrobe lately. Especially this time of year, I really love the idea of giving my looks some pops of color because it’s such a festive, bright & happy season.

Speaking of the holiday season, it’s about that time for all those who buy real Christmas trees to start shopping for the perfect one to put in your home! I grew up having a real tree in my house (ahhh, nothing like that real Christmas tree smell!), and one of the main highlights of my whole childhood was going to pick it out. My grandparents still put up a real cedar tree every year, and it is so special because our family chops it down out of my Papaw’s field by his house (yep, welcome to Tennessee, y’all!!). This has been a running tradition in our family since before I was even born. 🙂

This past weekend, I visited the most adorable place to buy some cedar for your home called Bluebird Christmas Tree Farm. Being there definitely amped up my Christmas spirit! With that said, if you are in the East Tennessee area & you’re looking for the perfect Christmas tree farm to visit for holiday pictures or to grab some decor for your home, I highly suggest this one. I went on a hunt for some mistletoe, but they weren’t getting anymore in until this week. I guess the hubs will just have to kiss me anyways and pretend it’s there. 😉

This #ootd is perfect for a tree farm or anything happening outdoors during this time of year. The pink / red combo is so trendy, while still being ‘merry’ and ‘bright’. I tied it all together with a colorful scarf (mine is old, similar here). And Hunter rain boots?! I mean, you can’t ever go wrong with them – especially when you know you’ll be outside walking around. They are so comfortable, practical & adorably cute to say the least. Every girl needs a pair of Hunters in her closet. And talk about popping some colors, y’all! Hunter boots come in pretty much any color imaginable. (I really love this pair in pale mint!)

It’s super rainy today in Tennessee, so I’m actually about to go throw my rain boots on yet again! I hope you’re having a great week, beautiful. 🙂 What are some of your favorite colors to pop in your outfits?
