When it comes to wedding photography and videography, the advice I have for you is pretty simple:
1. Book before you think you should.
2. Do your research.
3. You get what you pay for.
We received over 2,200 photos from our photographers and over 5 hours of raw video footage from our whole wedding day. We also got the summarized video of our wedding day, which will never get old for me 😉
Today, I’m showing off our photographer, Katherine Birkbeck’s, work by sharing some of my favorite images from our big day + I’ll be sharing our wedding video by Milestone Pictures at the end of the post (& I may be biased, but this is something you don’t wanna miss out on! I’m a sucker for wedding vids.)
Hey there beautiful! I didn’t post yesterday so that I could have a little extra time to spend with the fam and wind down from the holiday, so I’ve missed y’all the past couple days! Did you guys have a good Christmas? Ah, I loved every second of it. It was a very busy & exciting weekend for us. Teej and I got a lot of things for the house built and put up (well, mostly Teej – I was there for moral support!), plus he finished my Cloffice – aka, my closet / office (more on Snap @peyton.baxter & InstaStories!). I have a few more pieces to buy to finish it all off, but I’m totally obsessed – hubby of the year! Did you guys get anything good or do anything super fun over the weekend? I’d love to hear all about it!
Can you even believe that we are in our last week of 2016? Now that Christmas has come and gone, it’s time to prepare for New Year’s Eve! Whether you are hosting a party, attending one, or even just going out for dinner, NYE style is something to get excited about. When I think of NYE fashion, I instantly think sparkle. Don’t you? Today, I’m introducing a new way to add some sparkle to your New Year wardrobe. Plus, I’m sharing all about my new favorite watch / cuff combo that even has Kendall Jenner obsessed!
AH! Can you believe that Christmas Eve is tomorrow?! What happened to 2016, y’all?
I’m super pumped for the weekend to begin because (surely you guys know by now) I LOVE CHRISTMAS! And so does my whole family. Like, I think I just grew up with that gene engraved in me, lol! (Thanks Mom and Dad!) In our fam, we have shared tons of (the same) Christmas traditions for years. Some of our family Christmas traditions actually started back when my Papaw (aka the sweetest man in the whole world) was a little boy. And somehow, after all those years … we’ve kept them more than alive with every year passing. If there is one thing that I truly cherish in life – it’s tradition. Specifically Christmas traditions. So, in the spirit of the holidays, I thought I’d open up and share a few of my most personal, most special holiday traditions that will always hold such a special place in my heart!
Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve! Can you tell I’m excited??
Today I wanted to share one of my final Christmas looks of the season with y’all. Do you have any fun holiday parties this Friday night? Or maybe your family and friends will be getting dressed up for Christmas Eve dinner? Either way, you can’t go wrong with this classic holiday style that basically screams Christmas.
Okay, I just HAD to share these Free People lace up boots with y’all. Actually, they are technically from the Jeffrey Campbell x Free People collection, but that’s beside the point. What really matters most is that I share with you just how amazing they are and how they should definitely be your next purchase – like no questions asked! And speaking of purchases, while you’re on the Free People site, you might as well go ahead and throw in this slouchy sweater too because I’ve pretty much been living in it. It’s a DREAM!
The countdown is officially on because it’s ONLY 5 DAYS until Christmas! Wow, seriously can y’all believe that another year has almost come and gone already?! I feel like this year has flown by. And 2016 will be REEEALLLY hard to beat for this girl. 😉 But that’s for a whole different post so don’t get me started on that just yet, lol!
But, for today, I did want to share with y’all a few hints and tips for some last minute stocking stuffers – for her & for him. If you order any of these today, they will still have time to get here before Christmas Day! And, fortunately, you can find most of these items at your local Macy’s, Nordstrom, JC Penney, Mac, Fossil or even Sam’s Club – if you don’t want to shop online this close to the holidays. I’m a huuuge online shopper.
I wanted to share with you a few things that I have gotten in the past in my stocking (Santa still brings stockings to mine & TJ’s house, my mom’s house &&& my grandparents’ house!) or that I would love to be in there this year (hint hint, Santa!). Whenever I was working on this post, Teej was like “Hmm, let me see what would be some good ideas in the ‘For Her’ stocking, just curious.” Pssshhhh 😉 That’s fine, I’d be great with ANY of these picks!
YOU GUYS! We officially only have 6 more sleeps until Christmas!! 🙂
If you follow along with me on Snapchat (@peyton.baxter) or my InstaStories (@peyton.baxter), then you got to see a lot of behind-the-scenes action of my girls’ weekend in Nashville with my cute lil Mama girl. We had a BLAST! It’s so nice to sometimes just get away and enjoy some time off doing some girly things.
Hey sweet ladies! Today I’m sharing all about our weekend that we had last weekend in Georgia visiting TJ’s side of the fam. I firmly believe that one of the best things in life is family … and there’s not much more in life that I love more than time spent with the ones that I love most and the ones who I can just be my complete self around. But, I mean, aren’t we all like that with someone in our lives? Even if it’s your friends. Maybe you are more comfortable around them and they are practically what you would call your ‘family’. Either way, this time of year, it’s so easy to get caught up in all the craziness of the holidays and forget to celebrate one of the most important parts of the season.
Today, I’m sharing Part 2 of my Sisters Vintage Rentals Christmas shoot. If you missed out on Part 1, then be sure to click HERE to check it out — it was definitely one of my very favorite posts to date! SVR is by far the most amazing company for antique rentals. They help turn ANY event into gold. Everything they put together just looks simply amazing – just pay attention to the vignettes below to see what I’m raving about!
Also … if you had the chance to dress up as THE Mrs. Clause for a special Christmas event, would you?? Um, I would no doubt! Nothing says ‘festive’ like dressing up as Mrs. Clause herself .. and I mean, like, in a classy, tasteful way. Not looking like ya just came in on a sleigh from the North Pole! LOL.
So, once we got home to Tennessee, we officially began wedding planning. We were more than ready to be married. The very first thing that Teej and I looked for in our search for wedding vendors was our venue … or actually, venues. We had discussed for years (before even being engaged) about what kind of venue we had in our minds. Basically, outdoor weddings are gorgeous – when the weather cooperates – however, we always said that with our luck, it would come a monsoon, lol. Plus TJ may have possibly died standing in a tux out in the heat in the middle of a southern summer. No joke! So, we knew that we definitely wanted an indoor wedding.
