Since it is Wednesday, I’m throwing it back to my Wedding Wednesday days and calling ALL brides-to-be! I hear wedding bells!
Looking back on my time as a bride makes me so nostalgic, so I’m happy to get to help you ladies out while you’re searching for the perfect bride gear to wear as you prepare to become a wife. This is such a special time in your life that you will look back on for years to come, and I want to mainly encourage you all to soak up every. single. moment. (even the stressful ones 😉 ).
In the spirit of Valentine’s Day and the month of love, I wanted to share with you all what the big L-word means to me. I’ve always loved love – even during my single days – and over the years, I’ve learned that we all have different meanings to this word at different stages of our lives. Ultimately, it’s something that we feel and we try our best to express those feelings in words time and time again. I’ve also learned that true love is something so strong that words may not be able to accurately define. However, with that said, I am confident that I’ve learned so much more about the meaning (or the formula) of love ever since I started dating my husband, so I can’t wait to share a little more about that with you all today!
Along with that, TJ and I recently got the opportunity to work with JamesAllen.com, and it was such a neat experience that I’ve been dying to share with you all! This is one of the largest online retailers for diamonds, gemstones and engagement rings. With us being at the age where ALL of our friends are getting engaged and married (and since many of my readers are around this same age as well), I thought it would be helpful for us to try out their Design Your Own Ring experience and share our thoughts!
Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, and let’s face it ladies … sometimes our men need a little help when it comes to finding us the perfect gift, right? 😉 I’m here to help – send him over here to LNL or just pop the gift ideas below into his head! TJ and I buy Valentine’s gifts for each other every year, and I hardly ever know what to tell him that I want when he asks, so it’s usually just a surprise. However, I’ve had my fair share of times where I will send links to things I like to his inbox or have my mom or sister drop the hint. I mean, don’t lie, we ALL do it y’all!
One of the most common questions I get from you all is “what to wear to a spring/summer/fall/winter wedding” (and especially recently) – a winter wedding. Those are tricky because it can be difficult to find a dress that’s #1: practical & #2: dress code appropriate for the season and the event itself. Not only do you have to take the winter season & cooler temps into consideration, but you also have to be aware of the ‘style of dress’ for the event. This could be casual, cocktail attire, semi-formal, formal, black tie, etc. I chose to feature a dress in this post that could actually cover a few of these different categories (except for casual, of course).
Happy New Year! I can’t believe 2017 has already come and gone. I hope each of you had a great year full of love, health and happiness, and I hope 2018 tops it!
One of my biggest goals for 2017 was to take my blog full time and become a successful businesswoman in the fashion and blogging industries. This was somewhat a challenge because that meant that I had to grow my blog to the point of where it could be financially stable enough for me to leave my 9 to 5 corporate job. The transition was something I tiptoed around (for months), but after lots of prayer and a huge leap of faith, here we are — I’m finally living out my dream in my LNL world! (all thanks to you guys!!) 2017 was definitely a year of transition and growth, yet ultimately a huge step in the right direction for my career path. (PTL!) I’m SO grateful for this, however, I do want to be as real & transparent with y’all as I can right now because it wasn’t all unicorns & butterflies.
So….. Um, is anyone else frantically trying to finish their Christmas shopping this weekend?? I am, and I’m so ready to finish crossing people off of my list. Y’all, I still haven’t even wrapped the first gift. What is wrong with me?! Anyways, I plan to knock a lot of it out this weekend, and I’m guessing a few of you all will be doing the same thing, so I wanted to round up an entire list of fantastic gift ideas for all my fellow last minute shoppers out there. We’re in this together, friends! No worries, we’ll get it all done. I’m here to help, and this post includes gift ideas for EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. on your list. I’ve also made it super easy to see the price of each item without having to click on the product. Just hover over the image, and you’ll be able to see how much it costs. Of course, let me know if you have any questions — I’ve bought a lot of these gifts in the past, as well as, this year for some of my family. However, I can’t say what all I bought just yet because I’m afraid some of my fam (hi mom!!) may be on here reading this right now ha!
Christmas is such a special time of year – whether you are surrounded by loved ones or not – because we get to celebrate the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. As much as I love being with family this time of year, I have to say that the most special part is getting to celebrate the birth of Jesus!
Since it’s almost December, I thought it would be the perfect time for me to share 8 ways to get in the Christmas spirit this holiday season! Let’s be real … I’ve had my Christmas tree up & decorated since November 1. But, I know that all people are not like me & that’s okay! But I hope that you all are getting into the spirit now, and if you’re not quite there yet, I hope that this post inspires you in some way to get that holiday sparkle in your eye. 🙂
I’m so thrilled to be teaming up with one of my good friends and insanely talented photographer, Sarah McAffry, to kick off my first holiday gift idea for the Christmas season! If you are a young girl between the ages of 10 and 16 years old or you have a daughter, sister, cousin or friend between 10-16, this is for you! Sarah and I have come up with the perfect gift idea for this beautiful, young lady – a Becoming Session. This is a photo shoot that is all about them! It’s a total girl day all about embracing who you are, finding […]
Today is a (very) special day here at love ‘n’ labels because we’re turning 1!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LNL!
I’ll be honest … when I sat down to write this blog post, I had no clue where to start. There’s so much I want to say and so many people I want to thank for helping me get to where I am today. So, I’m just going to start rambling off all of the thoughts that are jumbled inside my head right now as I reflect on my first year in the blogging world … here we go!
When I published my very first blog post (don’t judge, we’ve come a loooong way ha!) this time last year, I honestly had no idea what I was doing, what all I was getting myself into, and how much work came with running a successful brand and fashion blog. But over the past year, I have learned so much about the blogging industry, about myself, about other people, about having an audience and about the fashion world as a whole. To celebrate and further reflect on my first year of blogging, I want to share a few things that I have learned that continue to stick out to me time and time again:
I typically don’t post here on the blog on Mondays but tonight, I felt led to share not only this really cute transitional outfit for fall, but also a few things I’ve had on my mind today.
First off, I wanted to share this cute #ootd that I wore not too long ago because it’s (finally) starting to feel like fall here in Tennessee … well, as much as it can for this time of year. If you’re from this area or anywhere in the south, you may know what I mean. It usually stays pretty warm around here until November or December (although last year on Christmas, it was still in the 70’s…), but this month, the temps have already started dropping a little bit. And you won’t hear me complaining! I’m ready to start breaking out the beanies & blanket scarves, but I still think I’ll have to wait awhile for that.
Anyways, if you’re like me and still stuck in a semi-warm climate for a few more months, you’ll fall in love with easy outfits like this one that will help you transition into fall. Like, the REAL fall (meaning temps into the 50s & 60s). 😉
I try my best to stick to a consistent schedule here on LNL (minus when I am traveling at times) but I guess that’s one of the beauties of being your own boss … when you feel inspired, you start writing. No matter the time, the place or the day. So here I sit taking a bubble bath, winding down for the day. Total silence. Just me & my thoughts. I actually love it – most of the time. But today, only thoughts of sorrow & pain fill my mind for the tragedy that happened here in the States last night. Does anyone else feel like it’s been very difficult to go about your normal day or is it just me??
I’ve been speechless since I woke up this morning and heard about the news. One of my blogger besties texted me first thing (she didn’t know if I had made it back from my trip to Vegas last week) asking, “ARE YOU OKAY?” “Are you hurt???” “I just heard about the LV shooting…”
